Pauline Agnes Desilets, 91, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2019 at her home on Church Street. She was born August 21, 1927 to John and Margaret (Walsh) Legendre. She attended local schools spending her entire life in St. Johnsbury.

On August 31, 1947 she married Edmond “Ham” Desilets and to this union was born five children, Thomas, Mary, Margaret, Ruth, and Pauline. She was an immaculate housekeeper taking great pride in her home and children. She worked 25+ years at Palmer Brothers Inc. Pauline had lots of vitality and loved to make people laugh.

Bingo was a past time that she and Hammy enjoyed doing together. She is survived by her son, Tom (Diane) Desilets, and daughters Mary-Ann Labounty, Ruth Priest, and Pauline Desilets. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Janet Nutbrown-Lucas. Pauline was pre-deceased by her husband of 48 year, Ed “Hammy” (March 1988), her daughter Margaret Labounty (January 2012), son-in-law Meril Labounty (February 2013), grand- daughter Bobbi-Jo Labounty (February 1980), longtime family friend Dean Allen (June 2016) and three sisters Delia Bunnell, Ruth Legendre and Gloria Wysocki. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 4PM at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street, St. Johnsbury VT 05819.
