Pauline F. Yourich Zaffina, 87, formerly of Scottdale passed away early Wednesday morning, December 26, 2018 in Little Sisters of the Poor, Pittsburgh. She was born June 2, 1931 in Monarch, Fayette County the daughter of the late John and Helen Kosta Yourich. Pauline was a longtime and faithful member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Lambing #314 and she also attended St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, Scottdale.

She was also a member of the Connellsville BPW for a number of years. Prior to being employed in the Floral Dept for County Market, she was employed by Pan Am Airways guided Missile range in Cocoa Beach, Fla. She was also a book keeper for the Scottdale News and Tastee Freeze of Connellsville for 35 years.

Pauline is gone from our lives, but will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, Her Loving and devoted Daughters: Kathleen F. Harrold and husband Kenneth of Latrobe Donna M. Grandinetti and husband Nick of Pittsburgh Her Three Grandchildren: Ashley Harrold Hamilton and husband Garrett of Hilton Head Island, S.C. Noelle Harrold of Latrobe Anne Grandinetti of Pittsburgh Her Two Great Grandchildren: Graeme and Grady Hamilton In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by: Husband: Francis Zaffina ( 9-2-2006) Daughter: Angela in Infancy Brothers: John, Steve and Walter Yourich Sisters: Theresa Weil, Kay Keupp, Mary Geary, Josephine Grenaldo (2015) and Margaret Krizer (2014) Pauline’s family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Sunday from 2PM – 8PM. Prayers of Transfer will be offered Monday at 9:30AM, in the Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale, with Rev. Andrew M. Kawecki, as Celebrant.

Committal Services and Interment will follow in St. John Parish Cemetery, Scottdale The Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Lambing #314 will recite the Rosary Sunday at 1:45PM in the Funeral Home. A Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home Sunday at 7:45PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that Memorials may be made in memory of Pauline to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave.
