Obituary for Pauline Duffin (Hoffman) Pauline S. Hoffman Duffin, 75, of Millcreek, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Erie, on January 19, 1943, the daughter of the late John and Helen Diemert Hoffman. Pauline was a faithful Christian and was an active member at Crossroads Community Baptist Church.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dog, Derrick. Pauline was a remarkable cook and baker and enjoyed preparing meals and sweets for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. During her spare time she was always watching cooking shows and reading magazines so she could create the latest recipes, which she always mastered, for her family.

She loved all animals and has many bird feeders and houses. She was known for her loving smile, looking good, being kind and compassionate to all she met. Pauline was a homemaker and took very good care of her four children bringing them up with compassion, care, and love and respect for others.

Pauline loved to go out to restaurants, the movie theater, and live shows and when younger loved to dance. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Buzard, and her brother, John Hoffman. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Donald A. Duffin; her children, Jeffery Sweeney and his wife Leslie, Shelbie Driscoll and her husband Todd, Cary Bardwell and her husband Charles, Greg Duffin and his wife Pamela, and Cathy Sartin and her husband Tom; her five grandchildren, Ian Sweeney, Ryan Bardwell, Brodie Duffin, Rory Sweeney, and Coy Bardwell; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of service there at 6 p.m. Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
