Obituary for Pauline Yvonne Misa Pauline Yvonne Misa, age 40, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home with family, on Friday the 13th, 2018. She was born on April 19, 1977, in Orange County, California to biological parents Caroline and Peni Soaia. Lovingly she was adopted and remained in the care of her mother Pauline Ierome Sio and father Iosefo Tapuni Misa.

She was married to Dusty Bationg in Salt Lake City, Utah. Pauline was the princess of the family from the day she entered this world to the day she left this world. I remember her saying “I am dad’s favorite” and yes she was right about that.

She enjoyed spending time with family and loved being outdoors. Her pride and joy was when Ammon, her grandson, came into her life. Even though she was ill, she would take him everywhere, almost as if there was no terminal condition within her.

She enjoyed taking mom on long scenic route drives, making tasty dishes, and just chatting with friends. She also worked very hard and enjoyed working with the disabled. She was great with people and always made friends easily.

She was the strength that her nieces and nephews needed when they felt trapped or lost. She was a God-send to us all. Pauline is survived by Dusty Bationg (spouse), Pauline Misa (mother), Maxine, Kobe, Amriah (children), Ammon (grandson), Pona (Pelenise), Jerome (Laloifi), Kone (Sandy), Pio (Sifoua), Pouafe Tuia (Ruta), Ianeta (sister), Bradshaw, Fokeki, Daisy, Flyriver (siblings) and all of their children (nieces and nephews).

Pauline is preceded in death by, Iosefo Misa (father), Foutino (sister), and Caroline and Peni Soaia (biological parents). Special thanks to everyone that touched Pauline’s life and helped her along her journey. You are all appreciated and loved.

Services are under the direction of Peni Malohifo’ou of Serenity Funeral Home Services will be held in her honor. .
