Pearl’s Obituary Pearl E. LaBar, 77, of Summerville, SC, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at home. Born on July 7, 1941 at home in Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Lottie (Lee) Ludwig and lived in Monroe County all of her life until moving south in 2010. She was a Geriatric Nursing Assistant Specialist (GNAS) having worked at Laurel Manor in Stroudsburg and then Pocono Lutheran Village in East Stroudsburg from where she retired.

Pearl was a member of Stroudsburg United Methodist Church. Surviving are four children, Bonnie Franklin of Summerville, SC, Charles LaBar, Jr. of Effort, Sandy Olsommer of Newfoundland, and Michael LaBar of Jacksonville, FL; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy; a sister, Helen Beck; and a brother, Paul Ludwig.

The viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Monday, January 21, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Funeral services will begin at 10:30AM Tuesday, January 22, at the funeral home and will be followed by burial at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. Memorial remembrances may be made to Alzheimers’ research.
