Peter “Just Pete” Glenn Slaughter, 53, of Asheville passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville. Born on October 8, 1964 in Wausatau County, WI, he was a son of the late Donald Glenn Slaughter and Patricia Lenea Gentile. He was a graduate of A.C. Reynolds High School class of 1983, and proudly served in the U.S. Army.

He was an electrician by trade and was employed by Haynes and Lunsford, Emory Electric, and Star Electric. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Slaughter. Surviving are his life partner, Pattie Reed; children, Amanda Slaughter and her spouse, Willie Henderson of Asheville, and Cory Slaughter of Asheville; grandson, Trinton “Tweety Bird” Lee Henderson; eight loving siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Victory Fellowship Church in Weaverville of which he was a member.
