Peter Aponte, 48, of Iselin, NJ formally of Newark, NJ passed into eternal rest on July 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 27, 1970 in Newark, NJ. He worked as a driver and Depot Master for many years at NJ Transit.

He was predeceased by his brother David. He is survived by his parents Felipe and Althea Aponte nee Brynes. He is also survived by his two children Jailene and Martin and their mother Elizabeth (Rosa).

He leaves behind two brothers Felipe Jr. of Orlando, FL and Michael and his wife Lisa of Iselin, NJ. He was loved by many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends.

Visitation Monday July 30, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Prayer service will be Monday 7:00PM at the funeral home. Blessing 10:00AM Tuesday July 31, 2018 at the funeral home followed by interment at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery, Union.
