Phil’s Obituary Phil P. Dennis, 63, of Topeka passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at his home in Topeka. He was born July 2, 1955 in Topeka the son of Theodore E. and Ethel Griffin Dennis. Phil grew up in East Topeka on Colorado Street later moving to the Oakland neighborhood.

He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1973. During his working career, he worked as a manager for Payless Shoes, was on a road crew for Shawnee County, laid carpet, installed garage doors, worked at Lake Shawnee Golf Course, and installed cable TV. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his Harley and hanging out with his friends.

Phil is survived by his wife, Kim Dennis; mom, Ethel Dennis; brother, Mike Dennis and wife Cindy of Point Venture, Texas; two sisters, Theresa Benge and Mary Dennis of Topeka; stepson, Logan Carathers of Winfield, Kansas; grandchildren Eli, Ahnah, and Jackson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Phil was cremated. Family visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
