Obituary for Phillip Edwin Clifton Phillip Edwin Clifton, age 94, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at his home in Greenville, GA surrounded by family. He was born February 6, 1924 in Roanoke, AL to the late Clem Clifton and Sally Ashley Clifton. Along with his parents Phillip is preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Clifton; daughter, Sandra Boughton; brother, Worth Clifton and his sister Leo Clifton.

He is survived by his son Edwin Clifton and his wife Carolyn; grandchildren, Eddie Clifton and his wife Beth, James Boughton and his wife Ashley, Dana Ramirez and her husband, Margie Hawkins and her husband John, Lisa Clifton and her husband Billy, Ashlea Cason and her husband Adam; siblings, Frank Clifton and his wife Peggy, Opal Mitchell and a long list of loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral service is Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan with Rev. Byrom Martin officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 11th from 5 PM until 7 PM at McKoon Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.
