Obituary for Phillip Elmo DDS Phillip Elmo, D.D.S., 61, entered eternal life on September 27, 2018. Born May 31, 1957 in Youngstown, Ohio. Survived by his supportive wife, Michele (Pittro)Elmo of 23 years; adored daughter, Angela; champion son, Dominic; precious mother, Angela Elmo; all of his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his extended family at Tuttle Crossing Dental.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Elmo. Phil grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. Graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in 1979, where he also acquired a degree from the College of Dentistry (Cum Laude) in 1983 then continued on to obtain a degree in Advanced Prosthodontics in 1987.
He opened his practice, Tuttle Crossing Dental Group in Dublin, Ohio where he was able to give many grateful people their smile back! Chosen by his peers and colleagues as “Dentist to the Dentist”. WBNS “Docs Rate Docs” Voted #1 Prosthodontist in Central Ohio by his peers in 2008, Columbus Monthly voted Best Prosthodontists, 2011, member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, 1983 to present.
Also a member of the Seattle Study Club Sfumato Chapter, where he was a frequent lecturer and Advisory Board Member. Phil’s generosity included contributions made to veterans services and children’s charity, Second & Seven. Phil’s favorite past time was watching his children play sports.
He was an avid Buckeye fan and spent many hours watching Buckeye Football. He found great joy in baking and loved to share his amazing creations and recipes. Family, friends and others whose lives Phil touched are invited to call at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W Olentangy St. Powell, Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to celebrate his life, reminisce, and support each other.
