Phyllis Mary Capen, 72, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Care Center after a period of declining health. Born August 26, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts she was an only child of Donald and Catherine (LaFrenie) Martin. In 1963 she married Edmund “Ed” A. Capen in Boston.

The couple and family resided in Massachusetts until moving to Thermopolis in 1971. Phyllis was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, housework, traveling and her grandchild, Alexis Palmieri.

Family cherishing her memory include her husband, Ed, of 57 years, Thermopolis, WY; children, Edmund (Maggie) Capen, Glendale, AZ, Julie (Wayne) Criner, Ajijic, MX, and Crystal (Tom) Palmieri, Gilbert, AZ and one grandchild. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held Monday, February 25, 4:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1156 So.

Road 11 in Worland, WY. Bill Wells will be the officiant.
