Obituary for Mr. R. Keith Carter Funeral services for Mr. R. Keith Carter, 63, of Lincoln, will be on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Minister Wayne Dunnaway will be officiating. The family will receive friends on the same day from noon until service time on the same day.

Mr. Carter passed away on July 16, 2018 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Leah Carter; children, Daniel Carter, Rich Carter, and Amanda Carter; step daughters, Lacey Hodges, Candace Hodges, and Kelsey Hodges; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; mother, Willodean Carter; brothers, Elton Carter (Linda) and Breck Carter (Stacy), and a host of extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, R.W. Carter Jr., and the mother of his children, Suzanne Bosworth Carter.

Pallbearers will be Carl Pate, Jeff Shaddix, Cliff Clifton, Patrick Bosworth, Alex Pope and James Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Stratton and Ron Chambless. Mr. Carter was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County.

He was a member of Betta View Hills Church of Christ. He retired after 30 years of service at UPS. Mr. Carter’s hobbies included loving and spending time with his family.

He was a hardworking, devoted, and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
