OBITUARY Rachel F. Summers October 11, 1926 – September 15, 2018 Rachel F. Summers, 91, of Machesney Park, IL, died peacefully, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony’s. Rachel was born October 11, 1926 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charlie and Eileen Tull. She married the love of her life, Robert Summers, in 1953.

Rachel was a beautician and a seamstress by trade. She loved sewing, quilting, and golfing; she was part of the Pearl Lake Mermaids for many years. Most of all, she loved her family, and traveling with Robert after his retirement in their RV.

Rachel is loved and missed by her sons, Tom Summers, Mark Hebel, Bob (Nina) Summers, and John Summers; 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Larry Hebel and brother, Clarence (Nadine) Tull. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
