Randel’s Obituary Randel Fax, 76, of Nichols, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Marion County on September 22, 1942, the son of the late Carson Fax and Maxine Shelley Fax. Randel loved the land and the outdoors, and prior to his illness, he spent many years working his farm, hunting and fishing.

Randel was predeceased in addition to his parents, by his wife, Ovaline S. Fax, and a brother, Joe Fax. He is survived by his son, Patrick D. Fax (Whitney) of Nichols, two grandchildren, Patrick and Jeremiah Fax, and a sister-in-law, Pearl Fax of Tabor City. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 14th at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. If you would like to remember Randel, the family suggests that memorials be made in his memory to New Mt.
