Bobbie’s Obituary Mrs. Bobbie Jean Baxley McDaniel, 85, passed away February 8, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 31, 1933 and raised in the Britton’s Neck community. She was a daughter of the late Blondell and Freddie Singleton Baxley.

Bobbie graduated from Britton’s Neck High School and the graduated from the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Columbia, with a Registered Nurse’s Degree. She was a Surgical Nurse with the Marion County Hospital System for 55 years, with many of those years devoted to The Mullins Hospital. Bobbie had a deep love for her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, offering them her love, comfort and support.

She was a member of Mullins First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Surviving Bobbie are: 2 Daughters: Barbara Anne (Chandis) Alford of Murrells Inlet and Melissa Gaye (Michael) Nolan of Mullins; a Stepson: Reginald “Reggie” McDaniel of Mullins; 5 Grandchildren: Anne Lauren Jolly, Bebe (Austin) Tempest, Mary Catherine (Justin) Hammond, Chandler Alford and Ashley (Travis) Brown; 6 Great Grandchildren; a Sister: Elizabeth Anne Rentz of Monks Corner; 2 Brothers: David (Joyce) Baxley of Britton’s Neck and Wilson Baxley of Calhoun, GA; a Sister-in-Law: Elizabeth Baxley of Mullins; and her beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Bobbie was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Glenn McDaniel and 2 brothers, Francis Baxley and O.W. “Duck” Baxley.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, February 10 from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Mullins First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary of Mullins First Baptist, with Rev. Rev.

Robbie Baxley and Rev. Jason Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Devotion Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mullins First Baptist Church, PO Box 443, Mullins, SC 29574 or McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502 or to the charity of one’s choice. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of McLeod Regional Medical Center and McLeod Hospice for their love and care for Mrs. McDaniel during her illness.
