Mary Corine’s Obituary Mrs. Mary Corine Gibson Strickland, 95, widow of Nathan Wade Strickland, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home in Mullins surrounded by her family, after an illness. Mrs. Strickland was born October 17, 1923 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Luther Gibson and the late Addie Gerald Gibson. Mrs. Strickland, after marrying Mr. Nathan Wade Strickland, raised and cared for her loving family.

After raising her family, Mrs. Strickland went to work for Russell Stover, where she worked for 20 years until she retired. Mrs. Strickland was a member of Gapway Baptist Church and was a member of the Adult Ladies Sunday school class. Surviving Mrs. Strickland are: her Children: Barry G. (Barbara) Strickland of Mullins, Wanda S. Blalock of Florence, Cheryl S. (Jim) Rogers of Mullins and Kris Strickland of Marion; her Grandson: Davis Harrelson, III of Clemson; her Great Granddaughter: Lauren Brooke Harrelson of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M., Monday, March 4 at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, March 4 in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen D. Bailey officiating.

Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Gapway Baptist Church, 2305 S. Hwy 41, Mullins, SC 29574.
