Randon’s Obituary ROCKFORD – Randon Michael Pollock, age 30, lover of music and friend to all, departed this world May 9, 2019 in Rockford, Illinois. Born at Rockford Memorial on August 24th, 1988, to Judith (Rivera) and Merl Pollock, he did not waste much time before he began to hone his drumming talents. Starting on a set of buckets at the tender age of three, Randon had a natural gift and it shined.

Even though he exceeded in raw talent, he also had the tenacity to practice, practice, practice- often during the week and early on the weekends, much to the chagrin of his family and neighbors. He would go on to be known for his talent which was almost as great as his heart. Randon showcased his ability in many bands, including Randall, Han Shot First, To the Right of Me, The Setback, The Emerald City, and Left in Ruin.

He used his networking contacts to organize a musical benefit for his mother to help her in her battle against cancer. He left his mark on the 815 music scene, and his presence will be sorely missed in the creative sphere of Rockford. He will be lovingly remembered by his father, Merl Pollock, his brother Jeff Pollock and sister in law Janell, his sister Bridget (John) Britzke, nieces Payton Wehr, Maesy Pollock and Carli Britzke, nephews Julian Pollock and Blake Britzke, his aunt Gena Rivera (Ray Mayfield), uncles Joe Rivera (Sheila), Mark (Fran) and Orin Skaug, and many dear cousins including his dear cousin Cody Rivera.

Randon is also remembered and loved by many adored friends left behind. Randon’s compassionate heart extended to his love for his animals, and he will be dearly missed by Sadie, Brianna, and perhaps most of all, his chihuahua, Peanut. Randon was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Judith (Rivera) Pollock, his uncles RIchard (Dick) and Terry Rivera, Gary Pollock, and Ronnie Skaug and cousin David Rivera.

Please join us in celebrating Randon’s life at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave. Rockford, on Saturday May 18, 2019, at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM. Family and friends look forward to sharing stories of Randon’s antics and humor.
