Verner Ray Felts, age 80, of Coopertown, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Kenneth Wayne Head officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Larry Felts, Terry Felts, Wayne Felts, Marty Felts, James Breeden and Ricky Reed serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm. Mr. Felts was born April 14, 1938 in Coopertown to the late Arnold and Altha Binkley Felts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a Supervisor at Electrolux for many years.

In addition to his parents Mr. Felts is preceded in death by his brother, James Felts and his sister, Peggy Felts Jackson. Mr. Felts is survived by his nephews, Larry (Nita) Felts of Nolensville, Terry (Mary) Felts of Smyrna, Wayne (Loretta) Felts of Spring Hill and Marty Felts of White House; and nieces, Linda (James) Felts Breeden of Walland, TN and Kellye (Ricky) Jackson Reed of Springfield. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
