Raymond Charles “Ray” Liebrecht, 84, of La Plata, MD died on January 21, 2019 in Clinton, MD. Ray was a United States Army Veteran born in Philadelphia, PA. He received a Master’s Degree in Economics from Temple University.

After moving to MD in 1966, he worked as an auditor for the US Goverment in the Government Accountability Office and retired after 30 years. Ray was a member of the Charles County Historical Society and National Economic Honor Society. He loved classic cars, gardening, and spending time with his pets.

Raymond is preceded in death by his late parents, Raymond and Margaret Liebrecht; and his brother, William Liebrecht. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anne Liebrecht; son, Raymond J. Liebrecht (Crystal); sister, Margaret Speidel (David); and grandchildren, Mitchell, Carson, and Bianca. A visitation for Ray will be held at Raymond Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11AM until his service at 12 noon.

His interment is private. Memorial contributions may be made in Ray’s name to the Humane Society of Charles County (P. O. Box 1015, Waldorf, MD 20604).
