Raymond D. Wells of Ballston Spa, 89, passed away on June 1st, 2018. Born October 30th, 1928 in Ravena, NY, Ray served his country in the Army during the Korean War, was a volunteer firefighter for the towns of Quaker Street and Pilot Knob for many years, and enjoyed a career working for Toledo Scale of Albany for over thirty years before retiring and working in the Queensbury School District for ten years after that. Raymond is survived by two daughters: Phyllis Wells and Jacqueline MacNeil, five grandchildren: Kittrina Biss, Kattarina Biss, Aaron Neer, Amanda Eggleston, and Joseph MacNeil, his cats Sandy and Wattles, two son-in-laws: Mark Neer and Charles MacNeil, six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Barbara Ann (O’Brien) Wells and daughters Veronica Wells and Lynda Neer. Ray will be remembered for his love of food, travel, and his family. The calling hours and service will be at the convenience of the family.
