Raymond Edward Schroeder, 89, of Port Neches, Texas passed away February 3, 2019. He was born in Anderson, Texas on November 18, 1929 to the late Fritz Schroeder and Katie Eickenhorst Schroeder. Raymond was a supervisor for Texaco for 38 years before retiring.

He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves, Texas. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Wyvon Schroeder of Port Neches; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy Schroeder; his sister, Alvena Leiber; his brother, George Schroeder; and 2 infant sons.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves, Texas on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow. Interment will follow the service at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas. Services are under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
