Rebecca Hooks Hewett 64, of Whiteville died Thursday January 24, 2019 at her home. She was born February 4, 1954 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late David and Betty Jo Smith Hooks. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Hewett; sons, Nathan C. Hewett of Ocean Isle Beach, Gant Hewett and wife, Allison of Clemmons, NC; daughter, Elizabeth Hewett of Whiteville; brother, David M. Hooks and wife, Dina of Ocean Isle Beach; sister, Mary Roberts and husband, Jeff of Eden; grandchildren, Dallas Hewett, Elijah Hewett, Carman Inman, Ella Inman, Yates Inman, Colin Hewett, and Evan Hewett.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Martha H. Stevens. Her graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Columbus Memorial Park by Rev. Gary Ledbetter.
