Ethel Smith 89, of Whiteville died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at her home. She was born February 3, 1930 in Brunswick County, the daughter of the late William C. and Cubie Walker Green. She is survived by her son, Rev.

Mitchell Smith and wife, Sherry of Whiteville; daughters, Katrinka Smith of Whiteville, Rose Spivey and husband, Rev. Jerry of Whiteville; grandchildren, Cindy Moody, Kelly Griffin, Stanton Smith, Lindsey Bowen, Ezra Smith, Jenny Beattie, John Spivey; fifteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Kermit Green of Shallotte; sister, Juanita Tedder of Hallsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ezra Smith; son, Tim Smith; parents; brothers, Quinton and Archie Green; sisters, Bertha Ward and Dana Harwood; grandchildren, Brandon Spivey and Brian Smith.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Abundant Life Assembly of God by Rev. Mitchell Smith and Rev. Jerry Spivey.

Her family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.
