Rev. Bill Jones, 90, resident of Eldorado passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Wabash Village in Carmi. Bill was born July 16, 1928 in Raleigh, IL to the late Roy and Rachel (Hess) Jones.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He married the former Virginia Prather who survives. Bill was a lifelong minister.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Social Brethren Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: David (Jan) Jones of Eldorado, a daughter: Landa (Mike) Stricklin of Cleveland, TN, 4 grandchildren: Brian (Emily) Jones, Dustin (Jenna) Jones, Tim (Loren) Jones and Wes Stricklin, 6 great grandchildren: Bailey Stricklin, Linus Jones, Louise Jones, Landon Jones, Tavis Jones and June Jones.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Joan Baugher and a brother: Charles Edward Jones. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Mt. Pleasant Social Brethren Church with Rev.

Mark Finnie and Rev. Roy Dale Orr officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home and from 10:00 am to service time on Wednesday at the church.

Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery with Military Rites. Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via the website www.
