Rev. Curtis William Cameron, Sr., 85, of Lancaster, widower of Sarah Revels Cameron, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at home. He was born November 17, 1933 in Great Falls, a son of the late William Harvey Cameron and Vastie Pressley Cameron.

Rev. Cameron received his Christian education at Columbia International Bible College, Baptist College of Charleston (now Charleston Southern University), and Mid Atlantic Bible College. He was proud to have been the pastor at Greeleyville Baptist Church of Greeleyville; Sherwood Baptist Church of Lancaster; Mt.

Pisgah Baptist Church of Pageland; Greenpoint Baptist Church of Inman; and Temple Baptist Church of Lancaster; as well as serving as interim pastor of many other churches. A service to celebrate the life of Rev. Cameron will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Sherwood Baptist Church with the Rev.

Rusty McAlister, Rev. Ron Jackson and Rev. Thurman Johnson officiating.

Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls. An additional visitation will be at Sherwood Baptist Church on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Rev. Cameron is survived by two sons, Curtis W. Cameron, Jr. and his wife Janet, and S. Lloyd Cameron and his wife Kathy all of Lancaster; a daughter, Lynne Broach and her husband Bobby of Graniteville; a sister, Mary Ann Lewis and her husband Frank of Greer; six grandchildren, Charlene (Curtis) Aycox, Matthew (Amanda) Broach, Tara (Brian) Steele, Jo Lynn (Bobby) Vereen, Hunter (Summer) Harmon, and Katie Harmon; and five great grandchildren, Kearsten Broach, Izzy Aycox, Joseph Steele, James Steele and Jayden Vereen. In addition to his parents and wife, Rev.

Cameron was preceded in death by a sister, Corena Branham; and a brother, Durant Cameron.
