Obituary for Rev. Harlan T. Baker Rev. Harlan T. Baker, 79 of Rushville, passed away on June 20, 2018 in Rushville.

He was born on April 11, 1939 in Franklin County to the late Robert L. Baker, Sr. and Florence Lucille (Whitney) Baker. Harlan was a 1957 Clarksburg High School Graduate. He married Cynthia (McQueen) Baker on September 11, 1999 and she survives.

Harlan joined the Airforce in 1962 and then retired in 1983 as a Law Enforcement Supervisor. While he was serving his country he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with one Silver and one Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Overseas Ribbon; and the Humanitarian Service Medal. After his service he attended Covenant Foundation Bible College in Greenfield.

Harlan was very passionate about his ministry and served as a minister for many years at the Wesleyan Church in Rushville. He enjoyed writing poetry and music. Rev.

Harlan Baker is also survived by his sons, Darrel Baker, Dennis Baker and Frank Baker; brothers, Robert L. Baker of Franklin County, John (Waltraud) Baker of Texas, Willard (Jeannetta) Baker of Clarksburg; sisters, Iva Milburn of Decatur County, V. Katherine Browning of Clarksburg; and Martha G. Baker of Greensburg. He is also survived by grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; mother in law, Mary Lucille McQueen; sisters-in-law, Sharon Roberson, Pamela Bauler; brothers-in-law, Terence A. McQueen, Dennis McQueen, and Dwight McQueen. Rev.

Harlan Baker is also preceded in death by his sisters, Lula Lawrence and Carolyn Sue Baker; brother, Ernest Baker; bother in law, Miles McQueen. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary , with Pastor Dan Smith presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family in the mortuary from 11 AM until the service.
