ZIMMERMAN—Rev. Robert D. “Bob,” 90, Geistown, formerly of East Taylor, passed away on March 13, 2019, at Harmony House. Born October 11, 1928, in Harrisburg, son of Blair R. and Ann H. (Napotnik) Zimmerman.

Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Genevieve M. (Lehman) Zimmerman, and 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by children, Linda K. Weaver and husband Daniel, Johnstown; Ann R. Wolfinger and husband, Robert, Johnstown; and Genevieve M. Grippo and husband, Louis, Springfield, Va; grandchildren, Shannon Judd and Daniel E. Weaver Jr., Scott and Matthew Saloney, Amelia Helsel, Diana and Eric Grippo; and 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by nephew, Frank Gaydosh and wife, Marilyn, Johnstown.

Bob was a graduate of Franklin High School. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He then worked at Bethlehem Steel for many years.

After retirement, he was called to minister at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. Former member of Jackson Township Lion’s Club.

He was an avid hunter. He was a church choir member and a soloist at Summit Chapel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, and again from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Keith H. Lohr officiating.

Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Military graveside rites accorded by Conemaugh Valley Marine Corps League Detachment #287. Online condolences may be posted at www.
