Reva Mae Higgs, 88, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Brandenburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Higgs was a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church, Ekron, KY. She was a former employee of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation program on Fort Knox.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Higgs; her parents, Howard & Mary Rose Jeffers; two brothers, Clifford Jeffers, Leroy Jeffers. Survivors include: One son, Shelby Earl Higgs (Eveline) of Vine Grove, KY; one daughter, Karen Ocasio (Alex) of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren Karen Dayle-Van Buskirk, Jeffrey Higgs, Justin Ocasio, Kyle Ocasio, Kaelyn Ocasio; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lenard Jeffers, Clarence Jeffers; several nieces & nephews; and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday and from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Wednesday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Higgs will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
