Rex’s Obituary Rex Britton, 86, of Pampa, passed away March 14, 2019 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Dale E. Huff of Hilltop Church in Fort Worth, officiating. A private family burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Britton was born December 14, 1932 in Waxahachie to A. and Irva Britton. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1938 and attended Pampa schools.

He married Pat Brown on December 27, 1952 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2014. Rex was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.

He worked for Cabot Corporation for 37 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF&AM for over 50 years. Over the years, Rex attended Calvary Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church, and Hilltop Church in Rendon.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Rosann and the fur babies of the home; two daughters, Pam Bowers and Shelly Villarreal, both of Pampa; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Rex was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randy Britton; a daughter, Sandy Rogers; and two brothers, James Britton and Bill Britton.
