Obituary for Richard A. Skinner Richard “Dick” A. Skinner, age 81, died January 2, 2019 at the home of his daughter, Kendra, after a brief illness. Dick was born on October 7, 1937 to the late William and Viola (Pankratz) Skinner. He was united in marriage to Kay (nee Krueger) Lenzner on October 4, 1985.

Kay survives. Dick was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1956. He loved the game of hockey, having played in high school and was a founder of the early hockey organization here in Antigo.

He served in the US Army in France. Following service, he worked for American Motors in Milwaukee. He later returned to Antigo and worked for GTE for 26 years, retiring from Verizon in 1994.

Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling to Arizona and Florida. He truly loved time with his family and was especially fond of his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, survivors include stepdaughters; Khala Sullivan and Kendra Peschke both of Antigo; stepson Kip (Renae) Lenzner of Antigo sisters; Lu Flemming of Antigo and Nancy Platt of Waynesville, MO; grandchildren; Keshia Reissmann, Kaitlyn Lenzner, Devyn Peschke; a step grandson; Josh Peschke of Wausau, and many nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by brothers; Donald and William, a sister; Shirley; sisters-in-law; Linda and Rose Skinner; brothers-in-law; Clyde Flemming and Clarence Platt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Ss. Mary & Hyacinth’s Catholic Church.

Reverend Matt Simonar will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the service at the church. Military honors will take place at the church following the service.
