OBITUARY Richard Arlan Smith February 12, 1946 – December 30, 2018 Richard Arlan Smith, age 72, of Jackson, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018. Richard was born February 12, 1946 to the late Jesse and Helena Smith. Richard was a graduate of both Henry County High School and Georgia State University.

He was a certified real estate appraiser and residential builder. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching TV. Richard attended Macedona Baptist Church.

He was a lifelong member of the Masons. Known as Pop to his grandchildren, he loved spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David S. Smith.

Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Retha Smith; his daughters, Patricia “Joye” (Gregory) Moore, Candice “Candy” (Jason) Reagan; his grandchildren, Sarah Moore, Hannah Reagan, Pete Moore; his brother, Jerry Smith; niece, Holli Smith; nephew, Jesse Smith; and a host of extended family and friends. Private services were held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Live the Vision, In memory of Richard Smith, Macedonia Baptist Church, 151 Macedonia Church Rd.
