Obituary for Richard D. Hughes Richard Devere Hughes, age 90, of Parma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Born May 18, 1928 in Akron, son of the late Robert and Eleen Hughes. Richard was very active in his church, St. Columbkille Parish where he was a Eucharist Adoration weekly participant.

U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, and reading books. Richard was very lucky to have a blended family that loved him very much.

He will be greatly missed. Devoted husband of Theresa Hughes; cherished father of the late Sandra Hughes, Cynthia (William) Nicholl, Candace (Mitchell) Toaddy, Randall (Jody) Hughes, Elaine DePhillips, Raymond DePhillips, and Richard Hughes; treasured grandfather of Stacy (Tom) Neace, Adam DePhillips, Lauren Hughes, and Alex Hughes; beloved great grandfather of Addie Neace; loving brother of the late Betty Frambaugh. Visitation will take place Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 12NOON – 2PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd.

, North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral service will commence at 2PM. Interment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Richard’s name are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
