Obituary for Richard D. Johnson Richard D. Johnson, 83, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Southeast Hospital. He was born August 31, 1934 in Lisbon, Ohio to James and Edna Smith Johnson. He and Irene Bartok were married March 15, 1959 at Millwood, Ohio.

She passed away March 4, 2012. Richard was a custodian for Cape Central High School for 19 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors include his two daughters, Deborah (Jim) Park and Cynthia (Rick) Swader of Cape Girardeau; one son, Rick Johnson of Grand Haven, Michigan; two sisters, Shirley Ward of Elkton, Ohio, Ruth Woodburn of Elkton, Ohio; one brother, Seward Johnson of Oak Well, Ohio; 6 Grandchildren 16 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister, 2 bothers and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Ford & Sons Mt.

Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 2;00 PM at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum with Elder Mike Alberson of the South Cape Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
