Obituary for Richard (Dick) Terry Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019. Age 81 years. The son of the late Ralph and Eleanor (Peters) Terry, Richard was born October 11, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan.

He married Shirley Broughton on June 7, 1961. She predeceased him September 15, 1988. Dick then married Carol Ann Coffey on October 7, 1989.

She survives him. He was employed at Fullerton Tool for over 50 years until his retirement in 2018. Dick owned and operated R&S Cuttergrind in Saginaw along with his son Jim and Al McNalley.

He was a member of the Point Lookout Association, Sims Township Planning Commission and board member of Huron Breeze Golf Course. Dick enjoyed traveling, boating, gardening, golfing, fishing and hunting. He loved entertaining and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving besides his wife Carol are one son and daughter-in-law, James and Ellen (Ellie) Terry, Saginaw; three grandchildren, Karly, Kerstin and Kevin; step-children, Mitch and Beth Loberg, Traverse City; Matthew and Trish Coffey, Midland; Mark Coffey, Colorado; step-grandchildren, Nick (Teresa), Conor, Kylie, Alexander, Charlie, Mirejah, Colin and Quinn; a sister, Connie and Dick Thomas; sister-in-law, Darlene Terry; many nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by two brothers, Greg and Ralph (Dale) Terry. Honoring Mr. Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate.

Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Point Lookout Improvement Company, American Cancer Society or the American Leukemia Association.
