Richard Williams Reynolds, 85, of Burlington, died at 2:50 PM Friday, July 6, 2018, at his home. Born May 26, 1933, in Olea, IL, he was the son of Jethro Curry and Faye Elizabeth Vaughn Reynolds. On April 3, 1954, he married Patricia Ann Junkins in Burlington.

She passed on February 24, 2014. He worked for Campbell Chain and retired as a machinist at IAAP. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Westerns, reading Western books, collecting knives and pocket watches, attending flea markets and spending time with his family. Survivors include four daughters, Julie Myers and Jean Klein both of Burlington; Joyce Shull of West Burlington; and Joan (Darren Benz) Reynolds of Burlington; one son, John (Debbie) Reynolds of Burlington; five grandchildren, Rachael, Andrea, Amanda, Joshua and Caleb; ten great-grandchildren: Joshua, Jensen, Jayden, Julianne, Samera, Ava, Nikalya, Stella, Natalie, and Aidan; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, three son-in-laws, three brothers and two sisters.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The funeral service for Mr. Reynolds will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Vance officiating. Graveside service will be at Carman Cemetery at 1:30 PM.

Full military honors will be rendered by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Community Room at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home immediately following the service. A memorial has been established.
