Richard George “Dick” Lee January 16, 1940 ~ September 18, 2018 The Patriarch of our family passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, after a decade long battle with Parkinson’s this morning, September 18, 2018. Richard George “Dick” Lee is the son of George Franklin and Melba Morris Lee and was born in Ogden, UT on January 16, 1940. He learned strong work ethic as a boy, which stayed with him his whole life through.

He applied this ethic to everything he did, newspaper routes as a youth, his full time mission to Switzerland for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in all things since. Dad was a brilliant man, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Weber State and an MBA from the University of Utah with a long career specializing in rocket propulsion. His unique knowledge and consulting was demanded around the world.

Dad was a constant servant of the Lord, a perfect example of honesty and humility. He’s continuing the Lord’s work in the next progression of life. Sports was a big part of his life.

Baseball and skiing, both water and snow, were his favorites. As he had children he made sure they were involved in various sports and activities, taking time as a coach and leader with baseball, soccer, and skiing, and he was a lifelong scouter. Priceless time was spent during the summers at the Bear Lake cabin, built with his dad and brothers in the 60s.

The Easter season was usually spent with a large group of friends in Southern Utah, a decades old tradition. Richard is survived by his wife, Kaye Lorraine Snyder Lee; and children, Keri (Jay) Randall, Stephanie (Todd) Rhees, Ryan (Antje) Lee, Jeremy (Becky) Lee, Heather (Jeff) King, and Danielle (Preston) Unck. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Carmen Mansfield, who passed in 2016, and by his parents.

Bis aufs Wiedersehen, Dad! Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant View 18th Ward, 1650 North 400 West, Harrisville. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.

, and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
