Richard Joseph Scheer, 87, of Kansas City, Missouri; recently of Tulsa, Oklahoma died on June 4, 2018. He was born November 27, 1930, in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late Richard Julius and Marie Catherine (Leveling) Scheer. Dick served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, member of the Lions Club, a Shriner, and supporter of the Guts Church.

Dick and Mary Ellen were married on May 26, 1984. Survived by his children William (Sandra) Scheer, Richard Scheer, Todd Scheer, Monique (Roger) de la Torre and step-daughter Donna (Wayne) Lampson. Also surviving are grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Taylor, Brooklyn, Kennedy, Charleston, Teale, Tripp, Trevor, Rilee, Mitchell, Madison, Madeline, Hannah, Roger IV, Kimber, Cheyenne, Ethan, Gage, Ryan, sister Maxine (Scheer) Constantine and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents Dick is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Scheer who died in 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Interment with military honors will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
