Obituary for Richard “Stick” Belanger Richard “Stick” Joseph Belanger, 64, of Dalton, MA, passed away October 13, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on July 11, 1954, the son of Theresa Bourgeault Belanger and the late Simeon Belanger, he was a graduate of Taconic High School. Rick married the former Janet Kipp on October 13, 1979.

He owned and operated Rick’s Mobile Catering, and previously had worked for General Electric and Rising Paper Rick enjoyed bowling, playing pool and horse racing. Besides his loving wife of 39 years, Janet Belanger; he leaves his son, Paul Belanger of Pittsfield; his mother, Theresa Belanger of Pittsfield; sister, Susan Danahey and her husband Mike of Pittsfield; brother Robert Belanger and his fiancé Jane Durant of Pittsfield; six nephews, Scott, PJ, Derek, Jeremy, Seth and Scott. He was predeceased by his brothers Paul and David Belanger.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. Belanger will be held, WEDNESDAY, October 17, 2018 at 11:00am at Dery Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Robert Skidmore. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30am- 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or Berkshire Humane Society, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA.
