Richard L. Bruemmer February 21, 1949 – September 15, 2018 Richard L. Bruemmer, 69, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 7:50 am in Aperion Care-Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2018 with Brother Shaun Gray officiating in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 4:00 pm till the time of service in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.

Military honors will take place at the conclusion of service. He was born February 21, 1949 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Harold and Alverta (Haack) Bruemmer. On October 24, 1987 in Michigan City, Indiana he married Nancy Richmond who survives Michigan City, Indiana along with two sons, Todd (Leslie) Bruemmer of League City, Texas and Captain Troy (Cristy) Bruemmer, US Navy of Chesapeake, Virginia; daughter, Tonya (Sam Gallaway) Bruemmer of Wilmington, North Carolina; granddaughter, Jacqueline; brother, Tom Bruemmer of Michigan City, Indiana; sister-in-law, Linda Bruemmer of Michigan City, Indiana; He was preceded in death by Brother, Robert Bruemmer and his step-mother, Clara Bruemmer; Rick retired as a stock person at Walmart.

He was US Marine Corp veteran having served in Viet Nam. He was also was a former member of the Disabled American Veterans, Danny Bruce Chapter #23, VFW Post 2536 and the American Legion Skwiat Post #451.
