Obituary for Richard Lee Harding Richard Lee Harding, 80 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed on Friday, December 7, 2018, Born Wednesday, March 23, 1938 in Owasso, Michigan, he was the son of the late Donald Harding and the late Edith Palk Harding. Richard grew up in Cookeville and was very active in Scouting, being one of three from Troop 108 who earned Eagle Scout Gold Palm, God and Country Award and Explorer Silver Award in the mid 1950’s. After proudly serving in the U S Navy, he came back to Cookeville, attending Tennessee Tech and earning a degree in math.

Following a brief stent in Maryland, he moved back to Cookeville to open a family business, ExoticTropicals, with his Uncle and Aunt Alard and Lovey Harding. He is survived by two sisters: Ursa Jean Burris of Crossville, TN Donna Thomsen of Cookeville, TN A special thank you to Dennis and Pam George whose love and support blessed Richard and Ruth in so many ways. Richard is preceded in death by his parents and wife Anna Ruth Harding.

A Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday December 22, 2018 at Algood United Methodist Church at ! 2:00 PM with the Pastor Albert Willis officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 22, 2018, In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Algood Methodist Church.
