Richard Max Goodwin, 84 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was born on October 2, 1934 in Haynesville, Louisiana to the late Aussie Olin and Effie (Lee) Goodwin. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, loved hunting, fishing and Cajun food.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Madalyn Johnson Goodwin; two brothers, Olin Goodwin, Jr., Gene Goodwin; two sisters, Olene Maddox and Effie Gene Price. He is survived by his sons, Keith Goodwin and Teresa Campbell of Magnolia, Scott Goodwin of Scott, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Cortney Goodwin, Lindsey Goodwin, Max Goodwin; one great grandson, Kaden Harris; and special friend Georgia Harris of Haynesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

David Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Town Cemetery in Haynesville, LA. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the food pantry at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1300 East University, Magnolia, AR 71753.
