Obituary for Richard R. Rizzo Richard R. Rizzo, age 78, of Cherry Valley township, OH, died Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born November 9, 1939, in Cleveland,OH, a son of Murphy and Catherine (Brock) Rizzo. Formerly of Cleveland,OH, Mr. Rizzo had lived in Cherry Valley since 1963.

He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy; and was employed by the Sheet Metal Local Union #65 out of Cleveland. He was an avid coon hunter. Mr. Rizzo is survived by his wife, Gloria J. (Gall) Rizzo, whom he married November 19, 1960, of Cherry Valley township; his five sons, Anthony Rizzo, Russell Rizzo, John Rizzo, Angelo Rizzo, and James Rizzo, all of Andover, OH; his two daughters, Gloria Schlecht, of Andover, OH, and Debbie Rizzo; his sister, Michele Rizzo of Florida; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Rizzo and Tony Rizzo; and one sister, Rose Hromyko. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 8:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until the time of services.
