RICHARD KEITH MORGAN was born on August 3, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert T. and Irene Gallagher Morgan. Dick passed away peacefully at his home on June 15, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, June Collins Morgan; his sons, Patrick T. (Lauren) of Louisville, KY, Timothy H. (Elizabeth) of Solon, and John K. (Sarah) of Shaker Heights; and grandchildren, Charlie, Teddy, Clara, Julia, Lydia, Dagny, and Collins.

He was a brother to Robert (deceased) (Mel), David (Linda, deceased), Douglas, Tom (Molly), and Bill (Lori), and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dick was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School, and John Carroll University class of 1963. Shortly after college he joined the United States Navy, and after completing Destroyer School he served primarily in the Western Pacific during the Vietnam War.

Ultimately, he attained the rank of Commander while serving in the United States Navy Reserves. While he served his country, Dick and June made lifelong friends and discovered a love of travel and adventure. After his active duty in the Navy, Dick returned to Cleveland and became President of Collins Equipment Corporation.

Additionally, he was a President of the Cleveland Petroleum Club, a President and Founding Member of the Ohio Petroleum Contractors Association, a Board Member of the Petroleum Equipment Institute, and a Board Member of the Maingate Business Development Corporation. Dick was an avid traveler, spending his time between homes in Cleveland and Venice, FL. He and June enjoyed an active social life and treasured time spent with dear friends and extended family.

He was a former member of the Mayfield Country Club, the Mission Valley Country Club of Venice, FL, and the Bath Club of Casey Key. The family suggests and appreciates gifts made in Dick’s memory to be directed to the Cleveland Museum of Art, 11150 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106. Funeral Mass Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church.

(Please meet at the church. ) Interment private. The family will receive friends at the SCHULTE & MAHON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 5252 MAYFIELD RD.
