Carol Fischer Schiemann passed away on June 24, 2018 at the age of 81. A long-time resident of Chagrin Falls, Carol was born to Arthur and Mary Fischer on June 5, 1937 in Cleveland. Carol graduated from the Andrews School for Girls.

She was employed as an executive secretary at Diamond Shamrock. Carol and husband Lee were married in August 1959. She was an active member of the Chagrin community, participating in the CFHS PTO, CVLT board, Chagrin Falls library, Cleveland Hiking Club, Rolling Ridge board and the United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls.

Carol will be fondly remembered by her passion for community service, her kindness and generosity towards friends and neighbors, and her deep love for her family. She is also survived by daughter Susan (John) Moyse of Chagrin Falls; daughter Jennifer (Rodney) Lie of Centennial, Colorado; grandchildren Anne and Charles Moyse, Rachel, Megan and Ryan Lie; brother Col. Arthur Fischer of Mission Viejo, California; and sisters Marcia DeCapite and Pamela Johnson, both of South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls on July 14 at 11 a.m. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the United Methodist Church of Chagrin Falls.
