Obituary for Rickie Dee “Poppy” Holten Eastover- Rickie Dee “Poppy” Holten, 69, of Eastover, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. He was born in Lima, Ohio to Ralph Holten and Stella Jacobs Holten. Mr. Holten was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.

He was retired from W.O. Blackstone as a sheet metal mechanic Local 399. He was the owner of Rick’s Firewood. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Denny Holten and Billy Holten.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jeanne Holton of Eastover, SC; daughters, Tina Sorrenti (John) of West Columbia, SC, Vonda Harmon (Jerry) of Eastover, SC, and April Bryan (Vic) of Hopkins, SC; sons, Douglas Bryan (Bridgette) of Santee, SC, RIckie Holten of Georgia and David Holten of Florida; sister, Rosella Holten and brother, Ralphie Holten, also of Florida; grandchildren, Roger McLemore, Bubba Bryan II, Jenny McLemore (Jason Rye) and Tillie Bryan, all of Eastover, SC, Robert Williams, Laura Williams and Jeanean Petoskey, all of West Columbia, SC; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Mr. Holten’s residence from 2:00-6:00 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
