Obituary for Robert Alan Kappauf Robert A. Kappauf, 68, of Waxhaw North Carolina passed away on September 15, 2018 at Atrium Health after many months valiantly battling pulmonary and heart conditions. Originally from Baltimore Maryland, Bob graduated from Mt. St. Joseph High School and then immediately joined the United States Marines.

In 1984 Bob relocated to Charlotte North Carolina and enjoyed the slower southern lifestyle. Bob had a way with people and built his own company The Kappauf Insurance Services in 1993. His hobbies included golf, fishing, crabbing, enjoying a drink with his pals, and feeding the hummingbirds.

Bob is survived by his wife Linda,and son Justin, his older brother Bill and his wife Sherry and younger sister Peggy and her husband Dan. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Brian. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28277 with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
