Robert “Bo”‘s Obituary Robert “Bo” Jerome Dunne Jr., age 81, of Ashland, passed away, Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born September 26, 1937 in Chicago, IL, the son of Robert and Margaret (Meyercord) Dunne. Bo graduated in 1955 from Loyola Academy High School in Chicago, IL.

He continued his schooling at Cornell University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology and later his M.B.A from the University of Chicago. Bo married Sondra “Sonnie” Rudgers in 1962 in Cleveland, OH. The couple initially resided in St. Louis where Bo worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for several years.

They later moved to the Milwaukee area where Bo worked for 20 years as a commercial and industrial real estate broker. Following retirement, Bo and Sonnie moved to the Mellen area and eventually to Ashland. He is survived by his wife, Sonnie; three sons, Kevin Dunne, Brian (Mariko) Dunne and Robert “Jeffrey” Dunne; three grandchildren (Alyssa, Corey, and Layla); and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents. No formal services will be held at this time, instead memorials may be made in Bo’s name to the League of Women Voters of Ashland and Bayfield counties, (LWV/ABC) and mailed to PO Box 175, Ashland, WI 54806. Arrangements are by Roberts Funeral Home of Ashland.
