Obituary for Mr. Robert “Bob” J. Bomski Robert Bomski Sr., 95, a resident of Poland, WI, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Robert was born on September 15, 1923 in Green Bay the son of the now late Stanley and Margaret Bomski. On February 22, 1944 he married the love of his life Lorraine Kush and they celebrated almost 73 years together.
Lorriane preceded him in death on December 23, 2016. Robert and Lorraine farmed until their retirement and then became Florida Snowbirds for 33 years. They relished in the warmth of the sun to their little piece of paradise that they believed was their land of the fountain of youth.
Robert will be greatly missed by his 10 children Jeannie (Dan) Kroll, Brussels; Judy (Chuck) Kinjerski, Denmark; Joyce (Ken) Kinjerski, Denmark; Robert Jr. (Cindy) Bomski, Green Bay; Gerald Sr. (Lynn) Bomski, Green Bay; John Bomski, Sr. (Stephanie), Green Bay; Jillaine (Chuck) Luczaj, Wausau; James (Marjean) Bomski, Denmark; Joseph Sr. (Dana) Bomski, Green Bay; Jacqueline (Ron) Vanden Bush, Green Bay; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Genevieve Lapacz, a brother, Tom Bomski, a sister and brother-in-law Bill and Darlene Smith. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lorraine, a daughter Joanie, grandson Donnie Kroll, a granddaughter Heather Bomski, 2 brothers-in-law and 1 sister-in-law Frank (Lillian) Kush and Ed Lapacz, 1 sister and brother-in-law Deloris (Elmer) Denis, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Josephine Kush.
Robert was a loving husband, father, grandpa and will be greatly missed and forever hold a special place in our hearts. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at All Saints Catholic Church 145 St. Claude Street, Denmark. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue after 9:30 A.M. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a Memorial Fund has been established in his name. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staff of the 2nd floor at Aurora Hospital for all of their loving care and compassion shown to Bob and his family- your kindness will never be forgotten.
