Obituary for Robert “Bob” W. Ammerman Robert “Bob” W. Ammerman, 92, of Anderson, passed away on May 21, 2018 at the Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on January 13, 1926 in Arcadia, and resided most of his life in Anderson. Bob graduated from Arcadia High School.

He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a barber for many years, and then retired from Guide Lamp. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, 40/8, and F.O.E. Bob also attended Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Anderson.

Bob is survived by his loving children, Marsha E. Long of Anderson, Rex E. (Karen) Ammerman of Alexandria, LA, and David K. Ammerman of Yorktown; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae Ammerman; father, Vernon L. Ammerman; mother, Edith Alexander; brother, Jerry Ammerman; sister, Freida Hyatt; and three half-siblings. Visitation will be held Friday, May 25, 2018, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN.

Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Zirkle officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
