Obituary for Robert Clinton Jenkins Jr. Robert Clinton Jenkins Jr, (Jinx), 58, of Charlottesville,Va, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at his home. Robert was born on July 2, 1960 in Culpeper, Va, son of the late Udel Layton, and Ann Layton. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Jenkins and boyfriend Keith Price of Charlottesville, Va; daughter, Heather Saul and husband Stacy, of Troy, Va; son, Joshua Jenkins and wife Megan, of Staunton, Va; son, Charles Grandstaff and wife Bre, of Waynesboro, Va; sister, Dee Witry, of Waynesboro; 6 grandchildren, Harper Price, Skyla Jenkins, McKenzie Jenkins, Hudson Jenkins, Hailey Grandstaff, and Dylan Saul; niece Amber Witry; nephew Jacob Witry; lifelong friend and love of his life, Cheryl Jenkins; and many friends who were family.

Robert was one of a kind, his presence was known when he walked into a room. He was the life of the party, and an all around fun loving guy. Robert battled diabetes for many years, and while the last few years of his life were painful, he never gave up.

His strong will and love of his family kept him going. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at The University of Virginia Hospital for taking such excellent care of him the last few years, as well as all the nurses at the UVA Transitional Care Hospital who became family to him during his extended stay there. We would also like to thank his many friends who were by his side always.
